Terms of use
Last updated September 25, 2026
By using CrowdSettle you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. You're responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since that's how you sign in.
Your content
You keep ownership of the questions and reasons you post. You give us permission to display them on CrowdSettle, to show them to voters, and to process them to run and improve the service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
House rules
- Comments are about the choice, never the person.
- No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, or anything illegal or dangerous.
- No spam, advertising, links, emails or phone numbers.
- Don't share anyone's personal information, including your own, in a question.
- Don't try to game votes, for example with automated or repeated voting.
We may hide or remove content, and suspend accounts, that break these rules or put others at risk. You can report any question you think breaks them.
Opinions, not advice
Votes and summaries are other people's opinions and automated summaries of them. They aren't professional advice of any kind. Important decisions about health, money, law or safety deserve a qualified professional.
Boost
A Boost is a one-time payment (or, during a promotion, free) that moves one of your open questions to the front of the feed for a limited time and raises its vote goal. We can't guarantee a number of votes. If the boost can't start because of something on our side, for example your question was removed under review or your account was blocked, we refund the whole payment automatically. If it can't start because of something you did while paying, for example you closed or deleted the question or paid twice, we refund the payment less the card processing fee, which the card processor keeps. While a checkout is open for a question, that question can't be closed or deleted until the checkout is finished or cancelled. Once a boost has started, payments are non-refundable except where the law requires, or at our discretion; a refund we choose to make may also be less the processing fee.
Availability
We work to keep CrowdSettle running, but it's provided as is, without warranties, and may change or be interrupted. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months.
Ending your use
You can stop using CrowdSettle and delete your account at any time. We may end access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions? Contact the support address listed on this site.
